How does a removal work?

After we have provided an estimate/quotation for you and have discussed what we can offer, upon acceptance we can book you in for a provisional or confirmed removal date. If provisional, we ask you to stay in touch with your solicitors and let us know as soon as a date is suggested/agreed for your move. If it changes, let us know and we can re-book the removal date.

The next time we will see you is, either the day for packing or, the day of removal, or both.

Do you provide packing boxes and materials?

Yes, we have materials for all requirements, boxes, paper, bubble wrap and tape, everything needed to pack yourself before the move, and will be included in the price. If packing materials are required without the removals service, we sell them at very competitive rates, please enquire, we will be happy to help.

Do you pack as well as handle removals?

Right Move of Lostwithiel can provide a part or complete packing service whichever is required, this would invariably be undertaken the day before the move. Boxes would be neatly packed and labelled. Any item requiring special attention will be packed accordingly.

How much does it cost to move?

This very much depends on several factors, firstly, how much is there to move? Secondly, will you be packing yourself? thirdly, what is the access to the property like, is it straight forward or is it difficult? By answering these questions we would be able to ascertain vehicles, materials and manpower needed. We will book an estimate to ascertain the answers to these questions, we always quote as competitively as we can and represent very good value for money. We do not charge vat, so there is a 20% saving on all prices!

How far do you go?

We are a company that will travel to anywhere in the uk and also France, for any other destinations Right Move of Lostwithiel can provide quotes on international shipping (export), advice on moving to other countries and can properly pack and inventorise your household possessions, ready for shipping to another country.

We need to go into storage?

Right Move of Lostwithiel have our very own storage and can provide any storage for your requirements, our storage is local, clean, dry and secure, rates are dependant on volume to be stored, our rates are extremely competitive and are currently £40.00 cheaper per month for 1,100 cubic feet (20′ container), than our nearest competitor. You won’t find cheaper!

I just want to use the self storage facilities?

That's fine. You are welcome to have your own outdoor container or indoor crate, and fill it yourself!

What happens next?

I’ve sold my house and need to move out but cannot move into my new house for a while, until it completes!

That’s fine, we can move you out and store your items, until the date for removal into the new property is finalised.

We’re not sure of our exchange or completion date?

That’s fine, your conveyancing solicitors will stay in touch with you regarding their communications with the other solicitors involved (purchasers and vendors), to let you know when exchange and completion are expected to take place. As a rule of thumb, the exchange is normally about a week before the completion date, which is when you move. You are encouraged to negotiate with your solicitor, to aim for a mutually convenient date for completion with the purchaser of your property and your ongoing vendor. Obviously, during these negotiations you would let us know when the provisional date to move is set and then confirmation when your solicitor confirms it with you.
