There are many specific items of equipment that can be used for the purpose of removals, some are more specialist than others and only need to be used in certain types of moves i.e. commercial moving etc. the main pieces of equipment that can be on a daily basis are as follows, these can make moving a lot easier!
Clothes wardrobes, portable for transporting hanging clothes on the day of the move. Keeps clothes dry, clean and easy to move. The cover sits over a portable metal framework and lifts off for removing the clothes once moved. Cardboard wardrobe boxes can also be used for this purpose.

A sofa 3/2 seater export wrap padded cover, these are very handy for fragile sofas for instance italian leather etc. They have a padded outside and a soft blanketed interior, they are also elasticated so that they stretch around the sofa
and is tied in place with straps, this gives the sofa maximum protection through door entries and exits and whilst being transported.

To lighten the load, it is essential to have a good pair of piano trolleys. Here is a picture of the ones we use, very heavy construction with thick grade steel. Apart from the obvious ie pianos, these trolleys can be used for almost anything that is heavy including garden plants etc.

The medium boxes are for general packing items such as, glass and china, pots and pans general contents of cupboards etc. The Small boxes are ideal for books, magazines, jars sauces from kitchen or bathroom items. These smaller boxes are also very handy to pack last minute fridge items into!
If you have a very new large mattress, it can also be a blessing to use a mattress cover, this works in the same way as the sofa cover and fully protects the mattress, keeping it clean and in tip top condition.
*These covers are especially useful if the weather is bad.
