The trip was planned for 18th, 19th and 20th of October 2010. A full load was put onto a 7.5t truck at the storage yard and packed safely for a long journey! The sailing was from Poole – Cherbourg on the overnight boat at 2300 hrs the Armourique. A slight delay at 0800 at the port of Cherbourg as the strike was in full swing! We got going at 11am and arrived at Fluery at about 1pm. After a quick cup of tea, we proceeded to unload the truck into the nice french farmhouse. A spot of lunch and a chat and homeward bound we were! Arrival back at Cherbourg in time for the 2300 sailing and docking back at Poole 0830. The last day was the trip back to Cornwall.

7th Oct Polruan to Chipping Sodbury

At the top of Polruan we loaded a 7.5 t van ready for removal to Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire. Easy access we were parked outside the property and loaded very smoothly. After setting off, we drove to the Bristol area and stayed overnight due to timings. The delivery of items was carried out the following morning of the next day in Chipping Sodbury.

14 & 15th Sept. Little Treburgey-Little Treburgey

We were tasked with swapping the contents of one property to the other at the same time the houses were side by side, a house swap. The furniture and boxes from one property were put to one side of a room in the other property, and the corresponding items were then swapped to the original house. As the distance was between the two houses only we carried the items directly between the two, without the need for loading the vans.

01 October 2010 Scrations lane – Lostwithiel

Very difficult access, ‘transhipping’ was needed for this move. A smaller vehicle was used to load at the property and then offloaded into a larger vehicle as the larger vehicle could not directly access the property. The move was local but needed planning properly as it was a large move with difficult access. A long day but all went very well.

23rd Sept. Carlyon Bay – Carlyon Bay, Nr. St.Austell

Sea road, the connecting road in Carlyon Bay on the sea front (private road) near Carlyon Bay hotel. Only a van load of items but nonetheless a hard move for only two of us as a difficult access for loading up hill from the property which was situated right on the sea front. After loading the items only stayed local and to a property nearby in Carlyon Bay.

17th Sept 2010 Bodmin-Bodmin

A small simple move from a terraced property to a bungalow in Bodmin. The weather was very good all day and helped a smooth removal. The cusomers were extremely happy and phoned us the following day to say a big thank you!

2&3rd Sept Storage to Helean Brittany

A planned trip from storage to Helean in Brittany near to josselin. The ferry was taken Plymouth to Roscoff and travelling time to Helean was approx 2 hrs. Arrival was spot on at 10.30am. A beatiful day in glorious France unloading preceeded a coffee and pain au chocolat (with compulsory dipping!) Setting off again was 12.30pm back for the ferry at Roscoff for 4.30pm local time, then return to Lostwithiel.

St Austell to Right Move storage Polscoe

We collected a van load from St Austell. A full packing service was provided and then to put the load into secure storage at our depot in Polscoe.
